Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information TarkovRaidCompass ("the Service") collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with. The Service is operated by an individual developer based in Tel Aviv, Israel.

1. Information We Collect

Directly from you, when you create an account:

• Username and password (stored as a salted hash - we never store your plain-text password).
• Your email address, used only to send you a password-reset link if you ask for one - we don't send marketing email to it, and accounts created before this was required can add one later from Settings.
• An API token generated for your account, used by the desktop overlay/ uploader to authenticate.

Generated by your own use of the Service:

• Live position data (in-game X/Y/Z coordinates and facing direction), read from the filename of screenshots you take - never the image itself.
• Squad party code, if you create or join one, to share live position with teammates.
• Quest/task progress and player level, if you use the Quests page or opt in to automatic quest-log tracking.

We do not currently collect IP address logging beyond standard web-server access logs, or any analytics/tracking data.

2. Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by Paddle.com, who act as the merchant of record for the transaction - your statement will show a charge from Paddle.com, not directly from us. Your payment card details are entered directly with Paddle and never pass through or get stored on our own servers - we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, plus a Paddle customer/subscription ID we use to keep your account's access in sync, and whatever billing contact details (such as an email address) Paddle itself requires to process the payment.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate your account and show your live position back to you (and your squad, if you've joined a party).
• To process payments and manage your trial/subscription status, once billing is enabled.
• To respond to support requests you send us.
• To keep the Service secure (for example, rate-limiting and detecting abuse).

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

• Paddle.com, to process payments and act as merchant of record.
• Resend, to deliver password-reset emails - it only ever sees your email address and the reset link itself, nothing else in your account.
• Your own squad members, limited to your live position and facing direction, if you've joined a party with them.
• Law enforcement or other parties, only if required by law.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. There is currently no self-service "delete my account" option in the app - to request deletion of your account and associated data, email support@tarkovraidcompass.com and we will process the request.

6. Data Security

Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plain text. The Service is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at, or intended for use by, children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
