Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TarkovRaidCompass (the "Service"), operated by an individual developer based in Tel Aviv, Israel ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm you meet this requirement.

2. Accounts

The Service uses a plain username and password, plus an email address used solely for account recovery - no third-party sign-in is involved. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. If you forget your password, use the "Forgot your password?" link on the sign-in page; if you lose access to your email too, contact support@tarkovraidcompass.com.

3. The Service and License

TarkovRaidCompass provides live in-raid position tracking, a desktop mini-map overlay, squad position sharing, in-raid item price lookup, and reference/planning tools for Escape from Tarkov, sourced from screenshot filenames the game itself writes to your disk. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or any part of it.

4. Local Data Reading

The desktop components (the overlay app and the standalone uploader) read only the filenames of screenshots you take in Escape from Tarkov, and - if you opt in - lines from the game's own local log files to detect quest progress. Neither component reads or modifies Escape from Tarkov's memory, injects code into the game process, or automates any in-game input.

5. Subscriptions, Trial, and Payments

The Service is offered on a 7-day free trial, no card required, after which continued access requires either a $4.99/month or a $49.99/year subscription, billed on a recurring basis until cancelled. The first 100 subscribers receive a 30% discount for as long as they remain subscribed. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, who act as the merchant of record for this purchase - your order will appear on your card/bank statement as being from Paddle.com, and Paddle handles applicable sales tax/VAT. We never receive or store your full card details. You may cancel a subscription at any time (via the billing management link in Settings), effective at the end of the current billing period; cancelling does not entitle you to a partial refund for that period.

6. Refunds

Subscription charges already billed are generally non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future charges. If you believe you were charged in error, or have another reason to request a refund, email support@tarkovraidcompass.com and we'll review it - refunds, where granted, are processed by Paddle back to your original payment method.

7. Acceptable Use

• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent any part of the Service.
• Do not share your account credentials or API token with anyone outside your own devices.
• Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that violates Battlestate Games' own terms of service for Escape from Tarkov.
• Do not attempt to overwhelm, scrape, or abuse the Service's servers or API.

8. Disclaimers

TarkovRaidCompass is an independent, fan-made tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Battlestate Games in any way. Escape from Tarkov is a trademark of Battlestate Games. Third-party tool policies can change at any time and are outside our control; we make no guarantee regarding the Service's effect, if any, on your Escape from Tarkov account standing. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including any action taken against your Escape from Tarkov account by its publisher.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service, or delete your account, at any time by contacting support@tarkovraidcompass.com.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tel Aviv, Israel.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
